Full job description

David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd is a family-owned business, providing a wide range of high-quality civil engineering, utility infrastructure and residential construction services and solutions throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of residential, civil engineering and utility projects.

This is a full-time, office-based role suited to someone who wants to develop their commercial career as part of an experienced commercial and management team.

Preferable Attributes:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent related qualification.
3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in residential, civil engineering, utilities or construction would be an advantage.
Strong commercial, organisational and communication skills.
Experience with standard forms of contract would be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the role will be applied based on the experience of the candidate.

Assist with valuations, variations, payment applications and project cost management.
Support subcontractor orders, payments and accounts.
Assist with cost reports, budgets, forecasts and project records.
Work closely with project managers, site teams and the wider commercial team.
Support tender reviews, procurement and final account close-out where required.

This is an office-based role at our head office in Castledermot, working closely with our commercial and management teams in a professional and friendly work environment
