Full job description

Grant has been a leading manufacturer of home heating products for almost half a century from our base in Birr, Co Offaly.

As we continue to expand our product range and enter new markets, we have an exciting opening for an IT Technician to join our team.

The Role:

Helpdesk Support:

Respond to and resolve support requests in a timely and efficient manner. Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.

Day-to-Day Break Fix:

Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues as they arise. Ensure minimal disruption to staff by quickly addressing and resolving technical problems.

Administration Support:

Assist with daily operations, including user account management, system monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks.

User Training:

Provide basic training and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems and software. Help users understand and utilize technology effectively.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes. Document procedures and create user guides as needed.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless support and service delivery. Communicate effectively with staff to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Experience & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a manufacturing or similar professional environment.

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware and software.
Networking knowledge
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Pay: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
