Full job description

Reporting to the Reception Manager, the Night Porter will assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel ensuring the guests comfort, satisfaction and requests are catered for in a friendly, helpful, efficient, and personalised manner always and to the highest of standards and that sales revenue is maximised at every opportunity.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking individual with a strong commitment to quality, high standards, service, and customer care.
Excellent attention to detail and focus on customer service is required as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment

This is a part-time position for 2 – 3 shifts per week. The candidate will be working alone, and solely responsible for the security of the building.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
Handling guest queries.
To ensure a high level of security at all times.
Carry out regular floor walks of bedroom corridors throughout night.
Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel including, but not restricted to lobby, back office, restaurant and bar floor.
Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by manager on duty and also as per nightly checklist which may include set up of breakfast area etc.
To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure safety of all staff and guests at all times.
Bar service in residents bar.
General basic maintenance.
To ensure safety for the guests the hotel while on duty.
Any other reasonable request by management.
Use of onsite computer systems.
Performing the night audit.
Generating and sending daily reports to central office.

The ideal candidate for this position:

Previous successful experience as a night porter will be an advantage.
Must have a professional and friendly approach.
Must be team player and have the ability to multi-task.
Must be available to work between 11pm and 8am.
Must have excellent time keeping skills.
Fluent English is required.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From €18.00 per hour
