Overview of role:
UPMC Sports Surgery clinic (SSC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Radiology Services Manager to lead and develop our Radiology Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, including three 3.0T MRI scanners, CT (with a second CT scanner scheduled for installation in early 2027), two X-Ray rooms, seven operating theatres as well as image guided interventional procedures. While specialising in orthopaedics, spinal and musculoskeletal imaging, the department also provides a broad range of general imaging services.
This is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and grow an established and high-performing radiology service within a leading private healthcare provider.
As Radiology Services Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and clinical governance of the department—ensuring the delivery of a safe, efficient, and patient-centred service across all modalities.
You will play a key role in driving service innovation, quality improvement, and departmental expansion, while maintaining a strong visible leadership presence with the clinical team.

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications
- BSc in Radiography or an equivalent qualification.
- Leadership experience as RSM.
- Post graduate qualification in Leadership/management (desirable).
- CORU registration.
Experience
- Significant experience in Radiology leadership (Radiology Services Manager or
equivalent).
- Extensive clinical experience in diagnostic imaging.
- Proven track record in operational management, service development, and staff
leadership.
- Experience in quality improvement, audit, and clinical governanc
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management, Leadership, or a related discipline.
Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and complex imaging services
Experience leading service expansion and innovation projects.
