This position is suitable for an existing Head of Compliance PCF-12 holder or a high-performing Senior Compliance Manager with the experience, capability and regulatory knowledge to step into a PCF-12 role. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the compliance function.

Act as the primary compliance contact for our general insurance business including personal, commercial and wholesale.

Provide practical, risk-based regulatory advice to management and operational teams.

Support the business in meeting obligations under the Consumer Protection Code, Individual Accountability Framework, Fitness & Probity Standards, Minimum Competency Code and Insurance Distribution requirements.

Promote a culture of good conduct, accountability and customer-focused decision-making.

Support key strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations and business transformation projects.

Support the delivery of the annual risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan across the Irish business.

Identify regulatory risks, control weaknesses and emerging compliance issues, ensuring appropriate escalation and remediation.

Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance policies, standards and procedures.

Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of regulatory change initiatives.

Support responses to regulatory requests, inspections and reviews.

Assist in maintaining effective relationships with the Central Bank of Ireland and other relevant regulators.

Ensure regulatory developments are communicated effectively across the business.

Maintains an unwavering customer focus and instils the same in both colleagues and stakeholders;

Acts as a role model for positive management and team behaviors;

Remains aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard;

About You:

Significant compliance experience within general insurance, financial services, intermediary sectors.

Strong working knowledge of Irish regulatory requirements, including:

Consumer Protection Code (CPC)
-
Individual Accountability Framework (IAF)
-
Fitness & Probity Regime
-
Minimum Competency Code (MCC)
-
Insurance Distribution requirements
-
Experience delivering compliance monitoring program and oversight activities.

Experience engaging with senior management and key stakeholders.

LCI - Professional compliance qualification

Previous Controlled Function/PCF experience.

Experience within a medium / large insurance brokerage or multi-entity regulated business.

Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits and acquisitions.

Strong regulatory knowledge.
