Role Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable AutoCAD Designer to join our team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys working on their own initiative. This is an on-site role which requires you to work from our office in Carrigadrohid, Co. Cork, however you will also spend time on the road consulting with potential customers and logging job sites to allow you to create accurate models and designs. The successful candidate will be a people person who can deal with a wide array of clients, from Council Engineers to Community Associations. Full playground industry specific training will be provided to the successful candidate. You bring your design skills and we'll help you to learn the rest.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing playgrounds to EN1176 safety standards
- 3D Modelling of playgrounds to give the customer an accurate representation of the design.
- Creating project presentations for potential clients.
- Monitoring eTenders platform and preparing tenders
- Liaising with clients in both community groups and councils.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on all aspects of playground design.
Skills & Experience:
- AutoCAD Design –3+ years of Experience, ideally within the construction industry
- 3D Modelling – experience with Blender or a similar program
- Strong people skills– you will be the main point of contact for all potential customers, so you need the ability to ascertain their needs and use this to create a playground design tailored to their needs.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines on an ongoing basis.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Eager to learn about the playground construction industry and become a subject matter expert on playground design.
- Full Irish Driving Licence is required for this role.
