Private Financing Solutions (PFS) is BlackRock's private credit platform, providing customized financing solutions to a broad range of corporate and sponsor-backed borrowers globally. The business is a key strategic growth area for the firm, managing a diverse portfolio of direct lending, asset-based finance, and specialty financing investments across multiple fund structures. As the platform continues to expand, the Fund Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting scalable operations, delivering high-quality financial reporting, and ensuring strong governance across the business.
Team Overview
PFS is one of BlackRock's key strategic growth businesses and a leading provider of customized private credit solutions globally. As private markets continue to expand, PFS is at the forefront of delivering innovative financing solutions across a diverse range of investment strategies and fund structures.
The Private Credit Fund Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting this growing platform, partnering closely with Investment teams, Operations, Legal, Tax, Technology, and external service providers to deliver best-in-class financial reporting, governance, and operational oversight.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative team at the center of BlackRock's private credit business. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of private credit products, interact with senior stakeholders across the organization, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the platform. Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrate complete ownership of the day to day accounting and administrator oversight to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting to LPs
- Interact with multiple internal and external partners over the course of the year, requires strong communication skills and ability to understand third party requests and deliver solutions to meet those partner needs
- Ensure a robust control environment exists both at the fund service providers and internally to ensure risk of error is mitigated
- Oversee regulatory compliance with SEC, NFA, and other regulations for product’s under the individual’s purview
- Recalculate management fee and carried interest in accordance with fund legal documents and report associated revenue to corporate controllers team
- Responsible for engaging with audit team around complex accounting topics and successful planning, coordination and completion of audited financials each year
- Communicate performance results to investors and resolve investors’ questions.
- Participate in investor due diligence meetings, as required for product set, and explain the controls in place to ensure accurate reporting to clients is achieved
- Field custom reporting requests and projects for investors and/or business specific needs and develop reporting to deliver back to clients/partners
- Drive increased efficiency and innovation through continuous review of operating procedures and planning / evaluating technology enhancements.
Experience
- Must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- 4 years of investment / fund accounting / fund operations / public accounting (audit) work experience or equivalent, including review experience for at least a portion of that time.
- Prior experience in Alternatives essential
- Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
- Proper and effective accounting skills including knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, performance fees and carried interest.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Works effectively to plan and prioritize responsibilities including ongoing and ad hoc projects simultaneously;
- Fluent in Microsoft Office products, emphasis on Excel.
The salary range for Dublin is Euro 75,000 - Euro 105,000
Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
