The Role:
OSI PI Engineer
Limerick
Contractor Opportunity - 12 to 24 months
The role can be considered as a hybrid model but significant onsite presence will be need as per project and client requirements.
Role: Brief:
Transient Data Project
The project will be focused on Transient Data migration and will include PI Historian focused tasks such as AF and Event Frame generation. You will be charged with the integration to external systems such as MES, trending tools and reporting tools. You will manage and drive the project and be responsible for ensuring that the project is deliver on time.
Skills Brief:
Experience of project delivery and operations support of Data Historian systems, MES systems and SCADA/DCS based control systems including network topology concepts and general IS/IT aspects.
Strong exposure to installing, configuring, validating PI Servers ecosystem (DA, AF, Analysis, Vision) and interfaces
Experience with AF, Analysis and Notifications
Experience with PI Vision, PI Event Frames and PI Batch setup and configuration
Clear evidence of the ownership of project deliverables such as documentation and validation activities required as part of the scope
Experience working closely with other project resources and team members, coordinating activities and providing information as required
Proven ability to ensure compliance with company and customer standards and procedures well as approved methodologies, including schedule, budget and resources monitoring as part of project deployment
Experience with BI tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire), SQL and any programming language as well as with Azure/AWS will be an advantage
Person Brief:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Automation/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in the delivery of at least complex PI Historian focused projects in a Life Sciences, Pharma, Medical Devices or Biotech environment
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills that inspire others and have experience in leading cross-functional teams on complex technical challenges.
Strong solution design experience in a GMP environment is essential.
The ideal candidate should also have an agile mindset and the ability to adapt to and manage change.
Vendor and internal stakeholder management experience is essential for the role.
Knowledge of Agile Frameworks is preferred but not essential if strong experience is evident.
Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
