Job Title: Kitchen Porter and Cleaner
Location: Celbridge
Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Head Chef

Job Summary

A Kitchen Porter and Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen and food preparation areas. The role supports kitchen staff by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean, safe, and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Porter Duties

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and food preparation areas.
Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries.
Remove waste and recycling from kitchen areas.
Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as required.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when needed.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Cleaning Duties

Sweep, mop, and clean floors throughout the kitchen and designated areas.
Clean and sanitize surfaces, walls, doors, and equipment.
Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
Clean washrooms, staff areas, and other assigned spaces.
Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to company standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning or kitchen environment is essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good attention to detail and hygiene standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

Skills

Time management and organization.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of food hygiene standards is an advantage.

Working Hours

Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on business needs.

This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment for staff and customers.

Pay: €15.00-€16.00 per hour
