Full job description

Cumiskeys Pub, Blackhorse avenue your friendly local beside Phoenix Park.

We are looking for a chef to join team!

Role description:

Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and excellence
Supervise, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff including Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs
Maintain consistently high standards in food quality, presentation, and portion control
Assist in menu development, food costing, stock control, and supplier management
Oversee daily food preparation and ensure strict compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
Step into the Head Chef role in their absence, leading service and managing the brigade
Uphold a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment

Requirements:

Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a chef in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen
Gastro pub + carvery experience is a advantage (not deal breaker)
Strong knowledge of European food with a passion for seasonal, fresh ingredients
Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire, train, and lead a team under pressure
HACCP certification with a strong grasp of food hygiene and safety regulations
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
