Keyridge Asset Management Limited (formerly Irish Life Investment Managers), the investment management company part of Great-West Lifeco (GWL) Group, manages assets of over €150bn. Keyridge provides investment products and solutions to both institutional and retail clients, offering a full range of active and indexed funds together with tailored investment solutions meeting specific clients’ objectives.
We are looking to appoint a Specialist within the Investment Services area. This area is made up three smaller teams:
- The Pricing Team which is responsible for the production, validation and explanation of daily fund valuations. The team acts as the last line of defence in fund accounting and a critical function within Group Operations.
- The Reconciliations team which is responsible for the completion of cash and holdings reconciliations to ensure that internal records match custody / counterparty records.
- The External Managers Team which is responsible for the completion of operational reviews for new external manager fund arrangements and the monitoring and reporting of these arrangements.
Working as part of the wider team, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain exposure to an array of varied and diverse processes to develop their knowledge and skillset with excellent exposure to various stakeholders within the business.
What you will help us to achieve
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Investment Servicing, this role will work across the Pricing, Reconciliations and External Managers teams to support business change, process improvement and operational resilience. Key responsibilities include:
- Working across the Investment Servicing teams to analyse current processes, understand business requirements and support the delivery of practical change.
- Partnering with stakeholders to document requirements, map processes, assess impacts and agree clear outcomes for projects, enhancements and smaller change initiatives.
- Developing a strong understanding of Investment Servicing processes, systems, controls and products, and using this knowledge to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and risk management.
- Taking ownership of assigned changes from initial assessment through to completion, including planning, tracking actions, managing dependencies, escalating issues and supporting implementation.
- Supporting incident reporting, root cause analysis and the implementation of preventative actions to strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for agreed processes, providing guidance to Analysts and supporting training, onboarding and knowledge sharing across the teams.
- Representing Investment Servicing in cross-functional forums and helping ensure that team requirements, risks and operational considerations are clearly understood.
- Maintaining and improving procedural documentation, process maps and other key materials for core activities.
- Assisting teams with production of daily service, as required.
What you will need to be successful in the role
The ideal applicant will bring a blend of analytical capability, operational understanding and strong stakeholder management skills. They will possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex processes, identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
- A proactive approach to identifying, understanding and mitigating operational risks, with a strong focus on controls, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, work to tight deadlines and see tasks through to completion.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders, ask effective questions and build strong working relationships.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the desire and willingness to challenge existing practices and improve processes in a controlled and sustainable way.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel; experience with process documentation, data analysis or workflow tools would be beneficial.
It would be an advantage to have:
- Experience working in fund administration, investment operations or a related financial services environment, such as Pricing, Reconciliations, Asset Servicing or Reporting.
- Experience supporting business change, process improvement, requirements gathering, testing, implementation or operational readiness activities.
- Proven experience acting as a subject matter expert or trusted point of contact in a similar environment.
