Full job description

Chemco Ireland Limited are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our strong, committed, and reliable team.

This role is based with our logistics team in Damastown Industrial Park. This team operates on a 4 days on and 4 days off shift pattern rotation.

As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the safe handling of materials in and out of the warehouse.

Continuous maintenance of the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping is also required, and you will be expected to participate and contribute to the continuous improvement of activities and training within the Operations Team.

Responsibilities

Pick, inspect and load customer orders while adhering to strict Safety and Quality requirements
Ensure all loading and unloading of product is carried out in a safe and timely manner, and all pre-checks are carried out prior to loading or unloading
Be familiar with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) (scanners, printers) for Picking and Processing Orders
Ensure that strict Inventory Control Techniques are adhered to and ensure all material is scanned in and out correctly
Work with and support the Warehouse Administrators on a daily basis
At all times ensure every attempt is made to maintain the highest standards of Safety and Housekeeping in the Warehouse and Yard and that these areas are left in good condition at the end of every working day
Ensure that all materials that are stored in the racking system are secured, tidy and organised.
Participate in the Inventory Control - Cycle Counting Procedure as required
Operate safely and correctly all Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and their attachments. Ensuring all checks are carried out and documented prior to working, and any defects are reported to your supervisor
Report any near misses/accidents/incidents as required by the company Health & Safety procedures
Attend and complete all scheduled applicable Training as required

Competencies

MHE experience or licenses (Fork Lift Truck, Narrow Aisle Machine, Pallet Truck etc) would be an advantage
Be Process Driven
Pro-active in communication skills between departments
Must be able to follow detailed instructions
Be meticulous in your work with attention to detail
Reliable, hardworking and flexible, team player, fast learner
Excellent communication both verbal and comprehension
