Full job description

Your mission

Working as part of our busy and talented team and taking the lead in front of the reception house, this is a key role in our practice and in our patient experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To meet and greet patients and visitors to practice in a friendly and courteous manner
Ensure patients are checked in and all essential documentation is completed and confidentially filed
Answer all incoming calls and deal with queries as appropriate
Responding to patient and client requests and directing them to the appropriate person
Scheduling appointments for patients, doctors and nurses using our internal systems
Prepare and update patient lists and extract patient notes when required
Filing of medical notes, letters, test results and other correspondence
Register new patients on the computer system
Ordering office supplies, stationery & equipment
Opening and distribution of post
Understand the usage of the practice email and internet system
Assist in the opening, closing, and securing of the building at the start and end of the working day
Support the administration function in a range of duties
Supporting Physicians with queries
Other related duties commensurate with the role and the qualification as requested from line manager

Your profile

Deal with your work in a confidential, polite, and professional manner
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent IT skills including all MS Office packages
Strong time management skills
Work well as part of a team to provide quality service
Work with great accuracy and attention to detail when dealing with all patient records
Able to work in a self-directed manner and is motivated and enthusiastic
Ability to be flexible as and when required, have a “can do” attitude
