The Paddy Box is currently on the lookout for an imaginative, creative and talented individual to fill the role of a Social Media and Content Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our social media marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engage our target audience, and ultimately generate leads and conversions. In this role, you’ll act as the social voice of The Paddy Box. You will always be on the lookout for new ways to connect with our customers and new audiences.
The successful candidate will have an in depth understanding of social media channels, trends and will deliver compelling content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement an organic social media strategy aligned with The Paddy Box’s wider brand and Marketing strategy.
- Plan and manage the social media content calendar around marketing campaigns, seasonal moments, cultural occasions, product launches and business priorities.
- Work closely with the wider Marketing Team to ensure social media activity is aligned across all marketing channels.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen The Paddy Box’s storytelling across social media.
- Stay informed about Irish cultural moments, global trends, platform developments and viral formats to ensure content remains fresh, relevant and engaging.
- Respond quickly to emerging trends and create timely, reactive content where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the wider Marketing team on developing a paid media strategy in line with The Paddy Box’s wider brand and marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with the Paid Media Manager and Marketing Executive to develop native social content for paid advertising campaigns (both video and static creatives).
Content Creation & Production
- Ideate, create, film and edit engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant social platforms.
- Produce content that reflects The Paddy Box’s brand personality, tone of voice and visual identity.
- Apply strong visual storytelling techniques, including effective video hooks, pacing, audio selection, captions and platform-native editing styles.
- Lead organic content shoots in the office, warehouse, and at external locations (i.e. vox pops).
- Be comfortable appearing on camera when required.
- Write engaging social media copy, captions and supporting campaign content in the brand’s tone of voice.
- Ensure content is produced and delivered to a consistently high standard and within agreed deadlines.
- Continuously explore new creative techniques, formats and content ideas.
- Participate in product photography and video shoots for website content and advertising purposes in collaboration with the wider Marketing team.
Channel & Community Management
- Schedule, publish and manage organic content across The Paddy Box’s social media channels.
- Ensure posts are published at appropriate times and presented in a way that maximises reach, engagement, views and audience interaction.
- Manage the company’s social media accounts, including daily monitoring of comments, direct messages, mentions and tagged content.
- Engage with customers, followers and brand fans in a friendly, helpful and brand-appropriate manner.
- Respond to and engage with user-generated content, reposting relevant content where appropriate.
- Help create a positive, active and recognisable online community around The Paddy Box.
- Identify opportunities to post, respond or repost outside standard business hours, including weekends, where there is a valuable engagement opportunity.
Influencer, Brand & Community Partnerships
- Build relationships with members of the Irish diaspora, Irish communities, influencers, creators and brand advocates.
- Identify suitable influencers, brands and organisations for potential collaborations.
- Support the development and execution of influencer and brand partnership campaigns.
- Maintain a strong awareness of creators, communities and cultural conversations that are relevant to The Paddy Box’s target audiences.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Measure and report on social media performance across each platform.
- Produce detailed monthly reports covering content performance, audience growth, engagement, reach, views and other agreed KPIs.
- Analyse campaign and content results to identify what is working and where improvements can be made.
- Use performance insights to refine future content, posting schedules and platform strategies.
- Report on progress against agreed social media objectives and platform-specific KPIs.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification or recognised course in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in social media, marketing or content creation for a retail or E-Commerce business.
- Fully proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Excellent copywriting, writing and editing skills, with strong attention to grammar, punctuation and storytelling.
- Excellent knowledge of TikTok, Instagram and Facebook including platform trends, formats, features and best practices.
- Experience with TikTok Shop and TikTok Shop tailored campaigns beneficial.
- Experience with LinkedIn beneficial.
- Strong video filming and editing skills; video editing experience is essential.
- Proficiency in content creation and editing tools such as CapCut and Canva.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, aesthetics, video hooks, engaging audio, audience behaviour and tone of voice.
- Ability to write confidently and consistently in The Paddy Box’s brand tone of voice.
- Creative, innovative and curious, with the initiative to develop and test new ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design and visual presentation.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider Marketing team.
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new techniques, tools and industry developments.
- A genuine interest in Irish culture, community and storytelling.
- A keen eye for potential collaborations with influencers, creators, brands and community partners.
Role Requirements & Working Flexibility
- Comfortable appearing on camera and representing The Paddy Box in social content when required.
- Able to meet deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality and brand-compliant work.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing several priorities at the same time.
- Willing to occasionally schedule, publish, monitor or repost content outside normal business hours, including weekends, when a timely engagement opportunity arises.
- Ability to create separate social campaigns for each platform (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days in our office in Dublin 17 per week and the rest of the time off-site, whether on location shoots or at home.
