We are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Regional Credit Manager to join our Credit team. This is a senior role responsible for managing a significant debtor book across multiple locations, with a key focus on future-proofing credit processes, minimizing bad debt, and supporting the safe growth of revenue. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong financial analysis, negotiation, and IT skills, and will thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Principle Objective
Reporting to the Head of Credit, the Regional Credit Manager will oversee credit operations across multiple locations, ensuring effective credit risk management and cash collection, while supporting the Group’s strategic objectives. This role is central to driving process improvements, managing credit risk, and enabling sustainable business growth.
Knowledge & Experience
- Third-level qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Membership in the Institute of Credit Management is highly desirable
- 4–5 years’ experience in a senior credit control role, ideally managing high-volume, high-value ledgers
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Management: Profile new and existing B2B customers, assess financial statements, and establish appropriate credit limits
- Cash Collection: Drive smooth and effective cash collection processes, actively reducing debtor days and overdue accounts
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with Regional Sales Managers, branch managers, and credit controllers to balance credit risk mitigation with sales growth facilitation
- Security: Manage and mitigate risk through financial instruments such as credit insurance and personal guarantees
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness across credit operations
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular credit reports and analysis to senior management
