Background:

Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland (VWFS) has been providing innovative and market leading car finance solutions to people all over Ireland since 2008. With a wide variety of finance, leasing and servicing options, our aim is to support the sales of our Volkswagen Group (VGI) Brand Partners. With over 120 dealers and over 70,000 customers, VWFS Ireland has quickly become the largest car finance provider in Ireland.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for the management and development of the commercial relationship between VWFSI and its 6 Brand partners in Ireland (Volkswagen Passenger Car, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, CUPRA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles).

Reporting to the VWFS Brand & Planning Manager, the Brand Management Specialist will provide a key support to the overall Brand Management function as a key point of contact for the VW Group Brands. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the commercial success of the business through day-to-day operational interactions with its Brand partners, and involvement in the development of longer-term strategic programmes. The role will be working with the Brand Management team on Pricing, Sales Campaigns, Performance Analysis and will involve engaging with numerous internal and external stakeholders across multiple departments within VWFSI and VGI.

Key responsibilities:

Support Brand Managers with the preparation of performance trends and commercial inputs for monthly alignment meetings with VGI Brand Partners

Support with monthly tactical planning process to monitor Brand tactical budgets and provide clear reporting and insights to Brand partners

Continually monitor and evaluate the automotive market in terms of VGI Brands and competitors to assess finance offerings, market pricing and sales campaigns.

Through analysis and understanding of market data; identify opportunities to drive our commercial success, and implement campaigns for the mutual benefit of VWFS and VGI Brands as well as end customers

Support pricing and campaign discussions, including analysis and pricing of interest rates, commission and brand tactical support

Support the wider Business Development and Marketing Department, developing and implementing strategic and tactical projects such a Vehicle Lifetime Concept, Customer Loyalty etc.

Experience and Requirements

Degree in Business/Strategy/Economics/Finance (or related discipline) preferred

3+ years’ experience in Financial Services or commercial industry preferable

Exceptional PowerPoint and presentation skills required and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel

Excellent analytical and numeric ability – production, analysis and representation of data in a clear manner to facilitate commercial decision making

Strong communication skills with all stakeholders, resulting in strong and positive outcomes

Experience with Power platforms incl. Power BI, Power Automate etc. preferred

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while still retaining an excellent level of quality and attention to detail

Proven ability to be able to negotiate and influence stakeholders decision making

Proven ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a high performing team

A strong customer & commercial focus

Fluent written and spoken English.
