We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist / Accounts Administrator to join our team and play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy office.
The successful candidate will be personable, professional and enthusiastic, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a varied role combining front-of-house reception duties with accounts and general administration responsibilities.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and accounts-related duties, including:
Reception & Office Administration
- Managing front-of-office reception duties and operating the company switchboard.
- Answering, directing and taking messages from incoming calls in a professional manner.
- Meeting and greeting clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Dealing with customer queries and directing them to the appropriate member of the team.
- Filing, photocopying, scanning and general office administration.
- Liaising with suppliers as required.
- Liaising with staff working on external sites to provide administrative support where required.
- Providing administrative support to the Sales and Technical teams.
- Assisting with ad hoc office duties and projects as required.
Accounts Administration
- Processing supplier invoices.
- Filing and maintaining all invoices in an organised, accurate and accessible manner.
- Printing and saving weekly employee timesheets and expense receipts.
- Verifying recorded employee hours against the company clocking system and highlighting discrepancies where required.
- Completing month-end creditor reconciliations against supplier statements.
- Ensuring all supplier invoices are received, accurately recorded and fully accounted for.
- Assisting with general accounts administration and supporting the wider finance function as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar reception, administration or accounts administration role would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
- Professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with accounts administration, invoicing or supplier reconciliations would be highly advantageous.
- Experience working in a busy office environment is preferred.

You will be comfortable working across different areas of the business and able to move seamlessly between reception, administration and accounts duties. Attention to detail is particularly important.
