Location: Donnybrook, Dublin 4

We're looking for an experienced, passionate and ambitious Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Moorehampton Gastro Pub, a neighbourhood gastro pub in the heart of Donnybrook. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who is passionate about delivering exceptional food, inspiring a team, and helping shape the future of a thriving food-led pub.

The Role:
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across all food offerings while driving creativity, efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing kitchen team.

Design and develop seasonal menus featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible.

Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency.

Manage food costs, GP, stock control and kitchen budgets.

Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety and health & safety regulations.

Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff.

Organise rotas and manage labour costs effectively.

Work closely with the General Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.

Drive innovation with regular menu updates and specials.

About You:
You'll be a natural leader with a genuine passion for hospitality and great food.

We're looking for someone who has:
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

A passion for modern gastro pub cuisine.

A solid understanding of food cost control and kitchen financial performance.

Experience managing busy service periods while maintaining exceptional standards.

Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
