As Electro Automation continues its growth and operational transformation, we are seeking an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to build and lead a modern procurement and supply chain function across the Group.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations and Supplier Performance across multiple Group businesses. The successful candidate will drive commercial value, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve operational performance and establish scalable processes that support future growth, acquisitions and business transformation.
This is not a traditional purchasing role. We are looking for a commercially focused leader who can challenge existing practices, improve operational performance and ensure the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right cost and at the right time.

Your Responsibilities
As Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of procurement, warehouse and supply chain operations across the Electro Automation Group.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Procurement Leadership
- Lead end-to-end procurement across direct and indirect spend categories.
- Develop procurement strategies balancing cost, quality, availability and supplier resilience.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage supplier contracts.
- Establish procurement governance, approval processes and purchasing controls.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and value creation opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and procurement planning.
- Manage long lead-time procurement and minimise supply chain risk.
- Work closely with Finance to optimise inventory investment and working capital.
- Support future acquisitions and business integration activities.
Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations
- Lead warehouse and inventory operations across the Group.
- Improve purchasing, goods receiving and inventory management processes.
- Introduce best practice stock control, cycle counting and reconciliation procedures.
- Improve warehouse organisation, efficiency and operational discipline.
- Increase inventory accuracy through improved systems and reporting.
- Support implementation of barcode scanning and warehouse technology.
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and service partners.
- Introduce supplier KPI frameworks and performance reviews.
- Monitor supplier service levels, quality and commercial performance.
- Manage supplier risks and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Operational Improvement & Transformation
- Review current processes and identify operational improvement opportunities.
- Develop scalable procurement and supply chain procedures.
- Support ERP implementation and process standardisation.
- Improve procurement reporting and inventory visibility.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and warehouse operations.
Leadership & Governance
- Develop capability within the Warehouse and Stores team.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting.
- Build clear operational ownership and accountability.
- Promote a proactive, collaborative and continuous improvement culture.
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise – That Matters to Us
We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
You will ideally have:
- Minimum seven years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse or Operations Management.
- Experience within engineering, automation, construction, manufacturing or technical service environments.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience managing inventory, warehouse operations and stock control.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes and introduce governance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using procurement and inventory reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading change and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across multiple departments.
Bonus Areas – Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Whilst not essential, the following would be advantageous:
- Professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations Management.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Multi-site or multi-company operational experience.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of warehouse automation and barcode scanning technology.
- Experience supporting business acquisitions and operational integration.
- Continuous Improvement qualifications (Lean, Six Sigma or similar).
