About The Role

Role/ Responsibilities

To assist the Executive Head Chef and Sous Chefs with the overall running of the kitchen and all back of house areas
Supervise and mentor junior chefs, ensuring consistency and quality
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards
Manage a designated section of the kitchen efficiently
Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained
Assist senior chefs with menu planning and daily operations
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service
Prepares and properly garnishes food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation.
Ensures close down of section in accordance with departmental procedures and standards.
To take direction from the department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
To adhere to HACCP procedures at all times.
To ensure all kitchen staff observe appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

About this role

Candidate Requirements:

2+ years experience in a similar role
Knowledge of HACCP and experience in practice
Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
