Electrical Estimator – Dublin

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Join Our Growing Team

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our expanding commercial team based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in commercial electrical projects who is looking to progress their career with a well-established and growing contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects.
Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and employer requirements.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities where required.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
Prepare detailed tender submissions within required deadlines.
Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, and design teams throughout the tender process.
Assist with handovers to project delivery teams following successful tenders.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market rates, labour costs, and industry trends.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within the commercial construction sector.
Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations and building services.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tender submissions.
Full driving licence is essential.

Desirable Experience

Experience pricing projects including:
Office developments
Healthcare facilities
Educational buildings
Retail developments
Knowledge of Irish building regulations and electrical standards.
Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
