Account Executive - Professional Indemnity

Ready to take your Professional Indemnity expertise into a major broking house, working on larger and more sophisticated risks?

Looking for a hybrid role in Dublin, with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office?

If so, we’d love to hear from you about this brand-new opportunity within Griffiths & Armour, an Aon company. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Ireland office(s), in line with our Smart Working policy.

We are known for our expertise in arranging Professional Indemnity insurance for our construction sector clients. We provide extensive and detailed risk management support and value-added products in addition to PI insurance solutions. With deep industry knowledge, we understand the evolving challenges our clients face and offer a high level of expertise in managing and mitigating risks.

What the day will look like

In this wide and varied role, you will work closely with Client Teams to ensure the highest level of service and technical advice to each assigned client in line with agreed service levels. Daily responsibilities will include:

Complying with regulatory and other standards as advised by line management, including the creation of accurate and timely policy documents, premium invoicing and debiting
Identifying improvements in client risk and insurance programme design and making recommendations to the Client Management team on actions needed to achieve this
Negotiating renewal terms, midterm adjustments and cover extensions
Understanding key insurers’ points of view regarding their relationship with Aon/Griffiths & Armour, helping to exploit opportunities or address issues
Liaising and collaborating with clients, colleagues and markets

There are many opportunities within the insurance market to work as an Account Executive, but this role offers a genuine chance to specialise in an exciting niche sector. You will focus on Professional Indemnity risks for construction-related clients and gain exposure to larger, more sophisticated programmes. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by highly skilled and knowledgeable colleagues who are keen to help develop the future stars of the team, with clear scope to grow your technical expertise and your career.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Minimum of 3 years’ insurance experience, preferably with exposure to and knowledge of Professional Indemnity risks, particularly in the engineering and architectural sectors
Achievement of, or progress towards, relevant professional qualifications
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
Strong self-management of workload and delivery, with a focus on meeting client needs and deadlines
