Role Purpose
The National Account Executive will support the management of national retail accounts within the FMCG commercial team. The role is designed as a development position for high-potential talent with a clear pathway into full National Account Management.
The role provides hands-on exposure to joint business planning, range management, promotional strategy, commercial analysis, and cross-functional execution across major retail customers.
Key Responsibilities
National Account Management Support
- Support National Account Managers in the day-to-day management of national retail customers
- Assist in the preparation of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), customer scorecards, and annual reviews
- Maintain accurate customer account trackers covering listings, pricing, promotions, distribution, and terms
- Support line reviews, range resets, and new product listings submissions
- Assist with customer queries, data requests, and follow-ups
Commercial Planning & Analysis
- Own promotional trackers including funding, mechanics, and post-promotion analysis
- Support pricing and margin analysis, cost price changes, and commercial simulations
- Assist with promotional forecasting and volume planning
- Analyse sales performance by customer, SKU, and promotion to identify opportunities and risks
- Prepare internal commercial summaries and recommendations for senior stakeholders
Cross-Functional Execution
- Coordinate with Field Sales to ensure national agreements are executed in-store
- Work closely with Marketing on NPD launches, activations, and POS planning
- Liaise with Supply Chain on forecasts, availability, and promotional volumes
- Support Finance with accruals, promotional funding tracking, and customer deductions
Customer & Internal Communication
- Prepare customer presentations and commercial decks
- Participate in internal account meetings and selected customer meetings
- Act as a professional point of contact for operational account matters
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear interest in national account management
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with sales and financial data
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Desirable
- Degree in business, commerce, marketing, economics, or similar
- Previous FMCG, retail head office, or commercial internship experience
- Exposure to JBPs, promotional planning, or sales analytics

Pay: €30,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
