Full job description

ECS Recruitment are currently recruiting a Safeguarding and Protection Manager for our client based in County Kildare.

Our client is a devoted organization committed to providing unwavering support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Through their network of communities, they create an inclusive and engaging environment where residents can truly thrive, all while upholding the utmost standards of safeguarding and protection.

Duties & Responsibilities

Enhance and develop management reporting systems and safeguarding data collection.
Manage the administrative function, ensuring timely and compliant processing of administrative tasks.
Monitor referral trends and outcomes within safeguarding, and compile quarterly and annual reports.
Oversee the electronic file system and ensure staff have accurate data for regular reviews.
Conduct on-site audits and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
Attend monthly Community Management Meetings.
Maintain and report on Safeguarding Training Records and ensure staff awareness of training requirements.
Provide administrative support for budgetary needs, complaints, complex cases, legal issues, and reports.
Ensure compliance with Barring and Vetting Act when required.
Coordinate and provide administrative assistance for operational plans, risk register audits, and control assurance statements.
Assist with minute-taking and management support for team and inter-agency meetings.
Prepare reports and business cases using various software tools.
Stay updated on internal and external factors that may impact service delivery and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Promote cooperation and collaboration among teams.
Supervise and enable other administrative team members, review assignments, and support staff development.
Embrace and implement changes, identify, and address inequities or inefficiencies, and support staff through the change process.
Foster a customer-focused environment, seeking feedback from community members with support needs.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation.
Lead the implementation of the ADM Act across all locations.
Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation.
Pursue continuous professional development and stay informed about HIQA standards and associated protocols.

Professional qualifications and experience

A minimum of a Level 8 - BA in Social Work or equivalent and be registered with CORU (the regulatory body for Health and Social Care professionals in the Republic of Ireland) as a Social Worker at the time that application is made.
Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional and managerial ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Candidates must possess the competencies and skills appropriate to working with persons with an intellectual disability.

Travel

The person appointed will be required to provide their own transport during the duration of the employment and must furnish an annual indemnity from Insurers in favor of the Employer.
Essential travelling expenses will be paid at the appropriate rate in respect of travel necessarily performed.
Flexibility in relation to working hours as relevant to the role.

Schedule

Full-time, Permanent, 8-hour shift.
Hybrid, base in Co Kildare
