The Role
As a
Database Administrator you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of our medical device data infrastructure. In this role you will install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will also work to ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits, maintenance, and validation procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Security Management: Implement and maintain database security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.

Database Design: Lead the design and implementation of database schemas, structures, and queries to support business needs.

Capacity Planning: Monitor database storage and usage, planning for future growth and scalability.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

Backup and Recovery: Develop, implement, and manage database backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, OT & IT staff, manufacturing systems and other stakeholders to support database-related projects and initiatives.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
Technical Skills:-
Proficiency in database management tools and software.

Strong knowledge of SQL and database query languages.

Experience with database performance tuning and optimisation.

Familiarity with database security practices and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.

Understanding of database design and data modelling principles.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong experience in database administration, with a focus on SQL Server, Oracle, and/or MySQL.

Proven analytical and problem-solving experience to develop robust and feasible data models with ability to abstract and think analytically.

Excellent understanding of data security concepts and best practices.
