Responsible for expanding Motorola Solutions' fixed video sales through our direct business, this team is focused on accelerating our government fixed video solutions business in the UK and Ireland.
The Desk Account Manager / Sales Support specialist plays a vital commercial role in maintaining, defending, and growing revenue across our Government agencies. Operating primarily "from the desk," this role balances proactive account management (renewals, upselling, cross-selling) with essential commercial sales support for our field-based Account Directors.
1. Desk Account Management & Retention
Portfolio Management: Serve as the primary dedicated point of contact for an assigned group of Government agencies across Ireland.
Contract Renewals: Proactively track contract end-dates to secure timely renewals.
Revenue Growth: Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities across our extensive portfolio.
2. Sales Support & Proposal Coordination
Bid & Quote Creation: Generate highly accurate commercial quotes, pricing models, and formal tender responses using internal systems.
Pipeline Administration: Maintain meticulous documentation of sales activities, pipeline updates, and deal stages in our CRM ( Salesforce ).
Field Sales Liaison: Act as the internal anchor for field-based Account Directors, handling incoming client inquiries and resolving structural account hurdles while they are traveling.
3. Customer Experience & Issue Escalation
Onboarding Support: Coordinate with technical delivery and provisioning teams to ensure seamless deployment of new solutions.
Billing & Billing Queries: Collaborate with credit control and billing departments to rapidly investigate and resolve intricate invoice discrepancies for aligned Government agencies.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an inside sales, sales support, or account management environment—ideally within the Irish B2B telecommunications, managed IT, or SaaS sectors.
CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating and updating modern CRM systems ( Salesforce ).
Communication Skills: Superb verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable presenting pricing details and managing commercial negotiations via phone and email.
Operational Competency: Demonstrable experience in order processing, contract administration, or supply chain/logistics coordination is highly desirable.
