We are seeking a Junior Account Manager to help manage existing customer relationships and develop new accounts across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas travel.

The Role:

We are seeking a Junior Account Manager to help manage existing customer relationships and develop new accounts across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas travel. This role is ideal for someone early in their career, possibly in their second job, who wants to make an impact in the telecom and enterprise market. You’ll work directly with telecom service providers and large enterprises, providing cutting-edge optical networking solutions, including transceivers and networking systems.

Job Title: Junior Account Manager – Telecoms & Enterprise (Optical Equipment)
Location: Home-based (covering UK and Ireland, some overseas travel required)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Identify and target new opportunities within the telecom and large enterprise space to expand our customer base.
Understand clients' needs and offer tailored solutions involving optical equipment like transceivers and networking systems.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Smartoptics’ products and the telecom industry.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively and on time.
Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales reports as needed.
Attend industry events, meetings, and presentations to represent Smartoptics and network with potential clients.

An enthusiastic and ambitious individual looking to grow their career in sales, ideally with some prior experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
Interest or background in telecommunications, technology, or enterprise sales is a plus.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working with new technologies and interested in developing a career in sales and account management.
A degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
