Role Summary
As a Senior Line Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations on assigned production lines within our cosmetics manufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on production leadership with team supervision, quality oversight, and performance management.
You will work with the Operations Manager to ensure that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP and internal quality systems. This position plays a key leadership role in driving continuous improvement, creating efficiency, motivating and developing production team members.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities on assigned filling, labelling, or packaging lines.
- Ensure production schedules are followed and met in line with quality and targets.
- Oversee line setup, changeovers, cleaning validation, and shutdown procedures.
- Monitor line efficiency, minimise downtime, and escalate technical issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate completion of production records, traceability documentation, and timelogs.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production Planning teams to optimise workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and support Production Operatives
- Conduct on-the-job training and ensure SOP compliance.
- Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
- Assist in performance reviews, attendance management, and disciplinary processes where required.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP and hygiene standards across the line.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
- Investigate and document non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure labelling accuracy and packaging compliance prior to product release.
- Complete production documentation required
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Enforce all Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain high housekeeping standards (5S).
- Conduct safety checks and report hazards immediately.
- Participate in risk assessments and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (cosmetics, pharma, FMCG, or similar regulated industry)
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
- An understanding of GMP and quality systems
Desirable but not essential
- Qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Management
- Experience with lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of EU cosmetic regulatory requirements
Working Conditions
- Full-time, onsite role within a regulated manufacturing facility.
- Monday-Wednesday 08:00-17:00, Thursday 08.00-16.30 Friday 9:00-16:00
- Must adhere to strict hygiene, safety, and operational protocols at all times.
