Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our growing team in Waterford. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal components from engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality fabricated assemblies to precise specifications from mild steel and stainless steel materials.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate metal components, assemblies, and structures from engineering drawings and specifications
Perform MIG, TIG, welding to a high standard
Use cutting, grinding, bending, and forming equipment
Carry out fitting and assembly of fabricated parts
Inspect finished work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality
Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

Requirements

Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator / Welder (minimum 2–3 years)
Strong welding skills — MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
Stainless Steel Welding experience an advantage
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
Experience using angle grinders, plasma cutters, bending machines, and hand tools
Understanding of material types including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Relevant trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Commitment to safe working practices
Previous use of fibre laser an advantage but not essential

Pay: €38,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
