Veterinary Receptionist / Front of House Team Member
Clerkin Veterinary Hospitals is looking for a receptionist to join our team across our Virginia and Cootehill practices.
Established in 1991, We are a mixed practice with a specialised small animal hospital providing orthopaedic, soft tissue and routine care, alongside a thriving large animal practice. In a fast-paced environment, and we are proud of the supportive fun atmosphere within our team.
This is primarily a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week, including alternating Saturdays. However, we understand that the right person may require a different arrangement, so flexibility in hours, days and location can be discussed for an exceptional candidate.
The role will include:
- Welcoming clients and patients
- Answering phones and managing appointments
- Handling payments, emails and general reception administration
- Assisting both our small-animal and large-animal clients
- Supporting the wider clinical and administrative teams
We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, professional and good with people
- Organised, reliable and comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
- Happy working as part of a close-knit team
Previous reception, administrative or customer-facing experience is required. Veterinary experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Applicant must be comfortable being around companion animals, and may be required on occasion to help to the owner or veterinary team
The position may be based primarily in either Virginia or Cootehill, depending on the successful candidate, although availability to work across both locations would be ideal.
