Nestled in the heart of Ireland, in the vibrant town of Tullamore, the Bridge House Hotel is one of the leading wedding venues in Offaly, perfectly located with easy access from Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.

Our luxurious four-star hotel is a family run hotel renowned across the Midlands and central Ireland for hosting unforgettable weddings, providing warm hospitality and memorable experiences for our guests. Weddings and Special Events are at the heart of what we do.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Meeting and Events Porter to join our team at the Bridge House Hotel. As a key member of the front-of-house team, the Meeting and Events Porter will play an important role in ensuring guests have a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in presentation, and can adapt to a variety of daily tasks, someone who is dependable, proactive, and enjoys helping people.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting guests on arrival and assist with luggage where required
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas (lobby, corridors, function rooms) at all times
Support reception and housekeeping teams during busy periods
Set up and clear meeting rooms and event spaces
Assist with guest requests promptly and professionally
Monitor entrances and ensure guest safety and security
Carry out light maintenance duties and report any issues
Manage deliveries and assist with stock movement
Provide local information and directions to guests
Familiarise and keep up to date with the daily function sheet and always be a step ahead
Liaise regularly with conferencing and banqueting teams on any

Key Skills & Requirements

Previous experience (minimum 1 year experience) in hospitality
Strong customer service and communication skills
Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods
Manual handling may be required
