Full job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced bartender to join our team and provide exceptional service to our guests. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating innovative cocktails and a strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. As a bartender, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience at Trim Castle Hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner

Take orders and prepare cocktails, mocktails and other beverages in a timely and efficient manner

Ensure that all beverages are served at the correct temperature and in the appropriate glassware

Recommend and upsell beverages based on guests' preferences and the establishment's offerings

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly

Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests

Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have

Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintained

Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner

Ensure the bar areas are clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required

Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times and ensure that any guest complaints and comments

are reported to management

Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures

Assist in the set up and preparation, and provide service duties for functions as required

Any other duties as directed by the Bar Manager/Supervisor or other member of the management team

Requirements for the role:
Experience of working in a similar role within the hospitality industry would be a distinct advantage

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)

Accurate and efficient cash handling skills

Excellent knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

Familiarity with cash handling and POS systems

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
