BIM Engineer
We are looking for a BIM Engineer to join our project management team. We are a leading Catering Equipment Company with Tier 1 clients throughout Ireland and the UK. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills & take a proactive approach to tasks. The role will involve supporting the project management and engineering team and will be based in our Tralee office with some onsite work. Flexibility for hybrid working. Role Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a design team to lead delivery of commercial projects. Working with Tier 1 contractors across Corporate, Pharma, Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial and Education sectors.
- Work with the Senior Project Manager, leading projects through full project life from inception to completion. (Planning, design, installation and commissioning)
- Site surveying, preparation of designs for mechanical, electrical and ventilation services
- Coordinating service drawings, schedules, Revit + Navisworks models and technical submittals with the design team, suppliers, clients and contractors and all interfacing trades in a timely and professional manner.
- Attending project BIM meetings and visiting site at different stages of construction.
- Coordinating with design team, suppliers, clients and contractors and all interfacing trades to ensure site targets are met.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a Design/ Engineering/ Project Management position
- Excellent Revit, Navisworks and some AutoCad knowledge
- Experience in BIM project delivery
- Experience in assisting to manage projects is an advantage
- Experience in using different Common Data Environments on previous projects an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and calm approach to delivering projects on time
- Comfortable working as part of a team and assuming a leadership role over time.
- Degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Architectural/Civil/Building Services)

The person will develop an in-depth knowledge of bringing industry leading commercial kitchens from the design stage through to completion. Assisting, advising and guiding projects on all mechanical components, counter finishes and many more key components of a high- quality commercial kitchen delivery. The candidate will be liaising and developing strong relationships with the country’s largest contractors, mechanical contractors and architectural firms. Peer support and existing frameworks will assist in guiding the successful applicant.
