RTR Cash Management Specialist, Cork

General Job Requirements:
Reporting to the RTR Manager/Snr Manager, within Global Financial Solutions (GFS), this position will be responsible for the cash management accounting activities within the RTR team.
Job duties include:
Cash Management:
Responsibility for the Cash management processes include:
- Preparation of bank reconciliation statements on a frequent and timely basis.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries (with appropriate supporting documentation) for the month end close and accounting transactions.
- Maintains and reconciles balance sheet ledger accounts and facilitates the timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Frequent interaction with peers, outside customers and functional group members at various management levels.
- Interaction will require the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations or providing technical information concerning specific projects.
- Implements and maintains accounting systems, policies and procedures including compliance with worldwide Controller’s manual.
General:
- Experience in a global finance function of a multi-location, multinational corporation.
- The development of strong relationships with key stakeholders, in particular with market finance teams across EMEA, APAC and US. Ability to quickly establish credibility with and influence diverse audiences.
- Contribution to the definition and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the establishment of a continuous improvement culture
- Interacts successfully with internal and external auditors and supports quarter-end, interim and year-end audits by providing timely Intercompany updates and accurate data and communication.
- Evaluates processes and recommends and implements process improvements to standardised intercompany.
- Helps develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to Gilead’s accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Interacts successfully with non-financial personnel as well as with internal and external auditors
- A champion for the Global Financial Services philosophy for Finance

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Part qualified Accountant or person with equivalent experience with a fundamental understanding of what it takes to operate within a multi-country RTR environment in a multi-national corporation.
- Experience of cash management processes within SAP is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SAP is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required.
- Experience of operating within a Financial Shared Service Centre in a multi-country corporate environment is an advantage.
