We produce ambient bread and cakes, and par baked breads for the retail and food service industries. Job Opportunity

Office Accounts Executive with an emphasis on Accounts Receivable/Debtors Ledger Management. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional or Accounting Technician to join a collaborative finance function supporting an expanding and interesting business.

Job description:

Management of the assigned customer accounts, preparation of sales reports, preparing customer performance reports- reporting to the Financial Controller
Deal with customers and delivery agents re orders, invoices and payment requests
Provide effective and efficient administration support to management, colleagues and cooperating with the overall administration function of the bakery
Efficiently organising office procedures to ensure operational effectiveness and enhancing systems
Holiday cover for colleagues in similar roles working as part of a team

Job Requirements

An Accounting Technician, Finance or related third-level qualification, or a minimum of 2/3 years employed in an industrial accounting function
Possess an excellent understanding of general accounting procedures/principles.
Excellent eye for detail / accuracy
Experience working with accounting software
Strong proficiency and hands on experience in Microsoft Excel and Word, with good data-entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
The ability to follow established procedures while also identifying opportunities to improve processes
A professional, positive and adaptable approach to work
Team player with high level of dedication
Flexible and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced business
Willingness to learn, share responsibilities, facilitate collaboration and support others
Ability to work in an open plan office and generate minimal disturbance for colleagues
Enthusiasm with a ‘can do’ attitude and desire to develop a career with Stafford’s Bakery
Contributing to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
