Full job description

.We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician / Dispenser to join our expanding team in Thurles, Co. TipperaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous pharmacy experience who thrives in a busy community setting and enjoys delivering high-quality customer service. The candidate must have excellent organisational skills and must be a good team player.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide healthcare advice and assist customers with their queries.
Support the dispensary team and ensure efficient handling of prescriptions.
Manage stock, process transactions, and assist with daily pharmacy operations.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Advise customers on community drug schemes, such as the Medical Card, DPS, and LTI.

Criteria:

Previous experience working in an Irish community pharmacy is essential.
Knowledge of Irish community drug schemes and SOPs.
Preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
Providing appropriate OTC medicines
Patient counselling
Competent in blister packing patient medications
Maintaining good stock control and ordering from correct suppliers
Competent with PCRS claims and payments
Ordering from the High Tech hub and managing queries relating to orders
Competent with Healthmail
