Job Description

Premier Surgery, Thurles, Co Tipperary is seeking an enthusiastic, empathetic and professional Phlebotomist/Administrator to join our team. Your key responsibilities will include collecting blood samples from patients with care and precision ensuring a compassionate and professional experience. Managing records, data entry, and coordinating appointments, working closely with clinicians, nurses, and support staff. Anticipating and resolving issues to maintain efficiency and adhering to safety protocols and patient confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

Applicants should ideally hold a qualification in Phlebotomy
Proficiency in English is essential

Skills & Competencies

Strong phlebotomy skills
Excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills
Effective and professional communication skills with patients, clinicians, and colleagues across departments
Excellent relationship building skills with both colleagues and patients
Highly patient-oriented
Ability to follow-though on tasks independently while working closely as part of a team
An ability to continuously seek and propose process improvements, as appropriate
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and highly committed to quality processes and procedures
Demonstrates a methodical approach to all tasks
An ability to carry out analysis and reporting as required
Computer literate and proficient at managing email, email attachments, and internet-based systems

Vaccination requirements - Annual influenza, Covid-19 and Hepatitis B.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €17.00-€19.00 per hour
