Full job description

Grassland Agro is a long-established major supplier of fertiliser and now part of the international Roullier group. With over 50 years’ experience in sourcing raw materials from the top suppliers all over the world, Grassland Agro then produces and distributes a comprehensive range of quality conventional fertilisers from 3 factories strategically positioned around Ireland in Cork, Limerick and Slane.

We now have a vacancy in our Slane factory for a Maintenance Electrician

Full responsibility for the corrective and preventative maintenance including diagnosis and development of on-site systems, while working as part of the overall team to support plant production and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide maintenance support to production operations.

· Maintain production equipment through preventative and reactive organisation.

· Perform routine fabrication assignments as directed.

· Perform testing to ensure machinery is operating correctly and safely.

· Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimum specifications.

· Supervise a scheduled programme periodically for maintenance shutdown.

The Person:

· Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Recognised National qualification / apprenticeship.

· Team player who can also work on their own initiative.

· Good overall knowledge of conveyors, elevators and screening systems.

· Experience of working with weighing systems.

· Basic computer knowledge essential.
