Position: Physiotherapist / Senior Physiotherapist - Neuro

Employment Type: Full-time (or Part-time)

Salary: Competitive; negotiable depending on experience

Location: Onsite (may also require travel to client homes), some remote work possible

About Vitality Neuro Rehabilitation

Vitality Neuro Rehabilitation provides a whole-body, exercise-based approach for individuals seeking continued neurological rehabilitation following discharge from hospital and outpatient therapy services. As the next step in the continuum of care, we take a unique approach to recovery and wellness, combining kinesiology, activity-based therapy (ABT), and other movement principles to treat the whole body and person, not just the symptoms of injury.

Vitality Neuro Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing the highest quality service for those recovering from spinal cord injuries, stroke, and other neurological diagnoses. It is our belief that at the heart of recovery is the empowerment of the individual.

Role Overview

The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and designing, adapting, and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs that support their recovery goals. This role supports clients with a range of neurological diagnoses, promoting evidence-based interventions that enhance independence, participation, and quality of life.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the service, providing clinical guidance and mentorship to colleagues, contributing to multidisciplinary care planning, and supporting the ongoing development of high-quality rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
Developing individualized treatment and rehabilitation programmes based on patient goals
Delivering small-group exercise classes
Delivering evidence-based interventions including, but not limited to, balance training, neuroplasticity-focused rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and functional mobility training
Maintaining high standards of patient experience and clinical care
Managing a varied caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and outcome records
Participating in continuing professional development (CPD), clinical supervision, and evidence-based practice activities
Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team through case conferencing, goal setting, and coordinated care planning
Liaising effectively with clients, family members, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
Providing education and guidance to clients, carers, colleagues, and community partners on rehabilitation strategies and best practice
Supporting service development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and implementation of best practice guidelines
Contributing to research, innovation, and the advancement of neurological rehabilitation services
Ensuring adherence to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards at all times

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidate must hold a Master's degree in Physiotherapy
Candidate must be CORU registered
Minimum of three years' post-qualification clinical experience
Significant experience in neurological rehabilitation or related clinical areas, including stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, carers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Strong organisational, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities within a dynamic clinical environment
