The Aftersales Manager (VW & SEAT CUPRA) is a senior operational leadership role with full accountability for the commercial, operational, customer experience, people leadership and compliance performance of the aftersales operation . The role is designed as a combined strategic and operational leadership position with broad commercial accountability.
The position is accountable for delivering sustainable profit contribution, high customer satisfaction, disciplined operational control and development of a high-performing team. This role carries responsibility for achieving business targets while exercising discretion and initiative to adapt plans, resources and processes in line with business needs.
Role responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the aftersales department across VW Commercial and SEAT CUPRA.
- Ensure workshop loading, productivity, efficiency and labour sales targets are achieved.
- Monitor and improve departmental KPIs including recovery rates, technician utilisation, customer retention, NPS and profitability.
- Implement effective scheduling by using the workshop planner and workflow processes to maximise workshop capacity.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and operational compliance.
- Ensure all manufacturer standards and franchise requirements are consistently met.
- Control resources and utilise assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
- Ensure payment for repairs and servicing of vehicles is collected as per company policy.
- Ensure staff adhere to correct uniform and maintain a high standard of dress including proper usage of PPE.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Consistently Achieve NPS Targets
- Resolve customer concerns and escalations professionally and efficiently.
- Promote customer retention initiatives and aftersales marketing campaigns.
- Improve customer service experience, creating engaged customers and facilitating organic growth.
- Ensure service procedures, policies and standards and implemented and maintained.
- Ensure all the teams are familiar and trained on the Dealer Management System and utilisation in accordance with process and standards.
- Ensure service advisors maintain excellent communication throughout the customer journey.
- Lead, motivate, train and develop service advisors, technicians, workshop controllers, parts personnel, and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching and mentoring sessions.
- Identify training and development needs within the aftersales team.
- Support the apprenticeship program in line with company standards.
- Foster a positive, performance culture with strong teamwork and accountability.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid full driving licence (essential).
