We are hiring a Social Media & Content Creator to manage and create content across a group of busy hospitality venues in Sligo including Garavogue Bar, Maeves, Waxies and others.
This is a hands-on role in a nightlife environment, focused on capturing live events, creating and promoting upcoming entertainment, and managing the events and bookings calendar for DJs, musicians, and performers.
The Role
- Capture video and photos during busy nights (DJs, live music, sports, student nights)
- Create content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook in line with brand guidelines
- Plan and promote weekly entertainment schedules (bands, DJs, events)
- Source and coordinate performers, DJs, and one-off events
- Produce promo content for musicians and event nights
- Post weekly sports fixtures and music lineups
- Use Canva and brand templates to create posts
- Manage and maintain an events calendar (Google Calendar or similar)
- Schedule content and align posts with upcoming events
- Engage with customers online (comments/messages)
Hours
- Approx. 3 nights (on-site) and 2 days (planning/editing/coordination) per week
- Late-night availability required (especially Fridays, Saturdays and event nights)
- Flexibility required depending on events and bookings
Requirements
- Experience in social media or content creation
- Interest or experience in events, music, or entertainment booking
- Nightlife / hospitality experience preferred
- Strong video and photo skills (low-light environments)
- Proficient in Canva and mobile editing apps
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple events at once
