Full job description

Avenue -a Nolato company based in Finisklin Business Park, Sligo is an award-winning mould-building company, and a growing medical device precision injection moulding business that has been successfully serving Ireland and the broader European markets for over 35 years. Avenue also brings expertise in building ultra-high-cavitation tooling for medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.

The Maintenance Operative will provide a comprehensive general maintenance service across three manufacturing sites, ensuring that buildings, facilities, grounds, and non-production equipment are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks while supporting the Facilities team and wider business.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities, or property maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong practical skills across a range of disciplines including carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical repairs, and general building maintenance.
Experience working within a medical device, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
Ability to identify maintenance issues and carry out repairs efficiently with minimal supervision.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks across different sites.
Full clean driving licence with the flexibility to travel between company locations as required.
Strong organisational and time management skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
