About Us

Curtains Direct is a well-established, nationwide business specialising in bespoke curtains, blinds, and interiors. Alongside this, Whitethorn Interiors is a growing brand with exciting plans for expansion.

We’re now looking to bring in a Marketing & Social Media Assistant to support our Marketing Manager and help drive both brands forward.

The Role

This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the day-to-day marketing activity of the business. You’ll work closely with our Marketing & Social Media Manager, assisting with content, customer engagement, and digital platforms.

This role is ideal for someone creative, organised, and comfortable working across multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with social media content creation (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
Help brainstorm and develop new content ideas
Manage and respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and social channels
Support with Canva content creation (posts, graphics, campaigns)
Assist with website updates (WordPress) – training provided
General support across marketing campaigns and promotions
Work collaboratively with the team on building the Whitethorn Interiors brand

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable dealing with customers via phone and email
Interest in social media and content creation
Tech savvy and able to pick up new systems quickly
Creative, organised, and proactive
Keen to learn and grow within the role

Confident using:

Instagram, Facebook (TikTok a bonus)
Canva
Google Docs & Sheets / Microsoft Office
