Training or fine-tuning artificial intelligence (AI) requires data. LOTS of data. However, not just any data will do – our clients need responsible AI data that’s targeted, accurate and reliable to ensure machine learning (ML) success. But preparing AI training data is a monumental task that can take up the vast majority of AI project time, leaving AI teams with precious little time to focus on developing, deploying and evaluating ML models. TrainAI by RWS helps our clients address this challenge head-on.

With a seamless blend of technological understanding and human intelligence, TrainAI provides complete, end-to-end data collection and content generation, data annotation or labelling, human-in-the-loop data validation and generative AI data services for all types of AI, in any language, at any scale, based on the principles of responsible AI. Job Purpose

We’re looking for a senior product focused engineer to join our team.

You'll own entire products end-to-end and operate more like a mini-founder than a specialist. Your work will involve setting direction, weighing trade-offs, and using AI tools to execute across the full lifecycle while making everybody around you better.

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Own products end-to-end: define the problem, shape the solution, ship it, and drive iteration based on real user behavior
Use AI coding agents and agentic workflows as your primary means of execution—and establish patterns others on the team adopt
Make design, UX, product, and architectural calls with minimal guidance, and defend the trade-offs
Talk directly to users, translate insights into shipped features, and decide what's worth building
Build the feedback loops—analytics, evals, monitoring—that determine whether the product is succeeding
Mentor other engineers on product thinking and effective AI-driven development
Influence the team's technical direction and how it adopts AI tooling

Requirements:

6+ years of engineering experience, including shipping products with significant autonomy
Deep fluency with AI development tools and agentic workflows, or a demonstrated ability to master new tooling fast and teach it
Strong product sense: you consistently make good calls about what to build and why
Comfort operating with full ownership and ambiguity—you set the plan rather than wait for one
Ability to work fluently across the entire stack and across disciplines (engineering, design, data, product)
Track record of driving outcomes, not just output

Nice to have:

Founder, founding-engineer, or solo-builder experience
Background spanning multiple roles (engineer + designer, or engineer + PM)
Experience building AI-powered products (prompt engineering, evals, agent design)
