We are seeking an experienced loading shovel operator to join our team in Westmeath/Roscommon area.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a loading shovel to load, move, and stockpile aggregates and materials.
Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance of plant equipment.
Work closely with site supervisors, crusher operators, and other plant personnel to maintain smooth site operations.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures on site.
Assist with general site duties as required to support production flow.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience operating a loading shovel in quarrying, construction, recycling, or similar heavy plant environments.
Valid loading shovel/plant operator certification or ticket.
Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and good communication skills.
Qualifications
QSCS card (where applicable)
Safe Pass certification
Manual Handling certificate
Previous experience in crushing and screening operations is highly desirable
