Alexandra Dental are a seeking an experienced Practice Manager for our Portarlington clinic. We are looking for a highly experienced manager with a customer service / focused background to lead our clinic into the next stage of its growth.

Job Title: Dental Practice Manager
Location: Portarlington
Position: Full-Time

About Us
We are a busy, patient-focused dental clinic in Portarlington, committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Practice Manager to lead our team and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. Currently a four surgery practice soon expanding to seven!

The Role
As Dental Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the operational, administrative, and people-management aspects of the practice. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is organised, confident, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the daily operations of the dental practice
Leading, supporting, and supervising the reception and clinical support team
Overseeing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and customer service
Handling HR duties including staff rotas, onboarding, and performance management
Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Ensuring compliance with HIQA, infection control, and health & safety standards
Supporting dentists with operational and administrative needs
Managing billing, payments, and basic financial reporting

Requirements

Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare management role (essential)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Confident with practice management software and general IT systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional, approachable, and patient-focused attitude
