Full job description

Kelly Childcare are looking for an Room Leader and a Childcare Assistant to join our team of dedicated childcare professionals. The ideal candidate should currently be working in childcare and have a fun, friendly and enthusiastic personality. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, welcoming work environment. Hours will be from 8am to 2pm

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assisting in developing, co-ordinating and directing varied activities involving Children from 2 to 6 years old
Collaborate with the Manager to implement and maintain services and/or programmes
Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for this age group.
To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children
Provide for the holistic needs of the children
Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
To communicate effectively with children, parents and staff alike.
Meet established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice

Qualifications & Experience

In order to be successful in this position the applicant must have:

Minimum FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Childcare qualification or equivalent
practical experience in a childcare setting an advantage
First Aid and Manual Handling an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A desire to learn progressively throughout your career due to the nature of the industry
Sincere and genuine love of children
