Activities Coordinator

Here at Brampton Care & Rehabilitation we are delighted to announce we are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join us on a full-time permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, bubbly and enjoy working as part of a team. We are looking for a creative individual who can bring our residents out of their shell.

About Brampton Care and Rehabilitation

Brampton care and Rehabilitation is located in Oranmore with close access to the Motorway. We operate both a care home for approx. 79 residents with various needs. We also operate a separate and specialised Acquired brain injury unit. This is the only specialised unit on the West of Ireland.

The Role:

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly organised Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of engaging and stimulating activities designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine residents' interests, needs, and abilities.
Develop and execute a fun activities that our residents will enjoy.
Facilitate group and individual activities, ensuring they are accessible to all, including those with physical or cognitive limitations.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to optimize the impact of the activities program.
Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or social care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for older people.
A background in healthcare, social work, or event planning is advantageous.
