As we continue to grow and invest in the future of the business, we are seeking an ambitious recently qualified or finalist Financial Accountant to join our finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to broaden their experience in a fast-paced commercial environment while continuing their professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced finance team and gain exposure to all aspects of dealership accounting.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the month-end preparation of management accounts and assist with the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will take ownership of key accounting functions while working closely with the wider finance team and contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management
- Month end accounts journals
- Updating and reconciling nominal ledger accounts.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations on a Monthly basis.
- Reconciliation of various balance sheet control accounts.
- Preparation & development of other periodic business reports.
- Participating in various other activities as required.
Requirements
· Recently qualified or finalist accountant, ideally suited to someone looking to move from practice into industry.
· Proven experience preparing accounts, including journal postings and month-end support.
· Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a commercially aware and practical approach.
· Excellent administrative and IT skills, particularly in Excel.
· Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in all work completed.
· Positive, enthusiastic, and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
· Flexible and hands-on in approach, with a willingness to support wider finance activities as required.
· Strong analytical and communication skills.
· Previous motor industry experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
· Available for regular site visits to our Dundalk and Galway branches.

Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Drogheda, County Louth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
