Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team in Ashbourne, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the commercial refrigeration and catering equipment industry. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to diagnose, service, install, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
Learn to service and maintain commercial fridges, freezers, cold rooms, and catering equipment.
Support the installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems.
Carry out routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Assist in identifying and replacing faulty components.
Complete service reports, job sheets, and photographs using the company mobile app.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues while on-site.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised condition.

Requirements

A keen interest in refrigeration/electrical systems.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of hand tools (preferred but not essential).
Full, clean driving licence (preferred).
Applicants must currently be living in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland. As Company. is not in a position to provide Any Permit/visa sponsorship.
